This unique mountainous landscape sets the stage for the Expedition Medicine course, an intensive training focusing on expedition medicine. In this course, you’ll not only explore the medical challenges of high-altitude expeditions but also traverse the rugged terrain of the Fann Mountains. This ten-day trek will lead you through a series of four- and five-thousand-meter-high peaks, turquoise lakes, and glacier-filled valleys. We’ll cross mountain passes nearly 5,000 meters high and camp on the remote high plateaus of the Fanns. Wild camping, fresh meltwater rivers, encounters with shepherds and their livestock—it’s the ultimate escape from daily life.
