About half of the curriculum consists of practical sessions that take place in the open air. Skills will be practiced in small groups, such as splinting fractures, transporting and evacuating a patient, but also preparing a medical kit, and communication. In addition, practical scenarios will be practiced to structurally assess and treat an acute patient in a setting with limited resources. These skills come together in the practical exam.
The other half will consist of classroom / small breakout sessions in which the following subjects will be discussed.
